Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Acute Care Float position. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various medical surgical units as assigned by the nursing supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Float to multiple medical surgical units, including but not limited to medical comfort care, surgery, GI, trauma, oncology, nephrology, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, cardiac surgery, and joint replacement.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document care and maintain patient records accurately using Cerner EMR.

Hours and Shift

• Shift: Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break).
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or a multi-state compact nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Cerner EMR experience is required.
• First-time travelers are considered.

• Compliance: Scrubs are Royal Blue.
• On-call work is not required.
• Block schedules are not accommodated.
