Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray

Shift Notes

• Four 9-hour shifts: Monday-Friday, totaling 36 hours
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist will perform a wide range of technical procedures, utilizing independent judgment and innovative thinking. Initiative is required to apply appropriate skills in facilitating accurate diagnoses. Responsibilities may include independent assignments from the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.

The role requires adherence to departmental and hospital policies and procedures, ensuring the proper care of clients at all times. Responsibilities may encompass supervision or instruction of department personnel, as determined by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practicing infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards is essential. Maintaining patient confidentiality is a critical aspect of the role.

The individual will also demonstrate proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems and will attend annual mandatory education, including subjects such as blood-borne pathogens and infection control.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent patient care skills
• Current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least 1 year of current experience required
• ARRT (R) Certification is required
• Massachusetts Radiology License in hand or proof of application
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
• Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred
• The individual must have access to personal transportation

Additional Requirements

• All requests for time off during the assignment must be noted upon submission
• Travelers may not take all holidays off and must be prepared to work during critical holiday periods
• Orientation time will be non-billable
