Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CVIR)

Job Overview

This position involves providing skilled nursing care within the Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CVIR) department. The role requires a strong ability to monitor patients receiving moderate sedation, as well as a commitment to patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Shift Details

• 40-hour workweek, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
• Shift start times are 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM.
• Participation in on-call duties is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and interventions in the CVIR setting.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information and care provided accurately in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, expected outcomes, and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience in cardiovascular nursing or related areas is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of sedation protocols and emergency response.
