Cardiac Technologist

Shift Information

Four 10-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

The Cardiac Technologist is responsible for conducting X-rays and assisting in scrubbing Cath Lab cases. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing left heart catheterizations (LHC)
• Executing right heart catheterizations (RHC)
• Handling device placements
• Managing peripheral and carotid interventions

Call and Weekend Requirements

Staff will be required to be on-call one weekday per week and one weekend every four weeks on a rotating schedule. Holiday coverage may also be assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab is preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• IEMA certification is required for the state of Illinois.
