Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

This position requires working night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 on a 3×12 schedule. Weekend coverage is expected every other week.

Floating Requirements

Float is required; the Nurse may be assigned to other units based on patient care needs and skill set.

Staffing Ratios

The staffing ratio for night shifts is 1:6.

Patient Population

The position involves working with adults and geriatric patients.

Medication System

The medication system used in this unit is Omnicell.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience.
• Active RN license in Tennessee is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.

Common patient conditions include:

• Stroke and TIA
• Seizure
• Syncope
• Pneumonia (PNA)
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Unit Details

This unit specializes in inpatient care for stroke and TIA patients while also accommodating higher-acuity medical-surgical patients. The team focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience and is capable of performing specialized procedures, including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
