Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients and providing coverage in similar units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses using the Omnicell medication system.
• Perform bedside procedures including dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D).
• Attend to patient needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Participate in post-heart catheterization care.
• Contribute to weekend coverage schedules as necessary, approximately every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of one year of experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units.
• At least one year of experience using EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience.

Shift Information

This position includes a night shift schedule, working 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Additional Information

Flexibility and the ability to float to similar units may be required, depending on patient care needs.
