Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Integrated Medicine Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Medical Surgical (MS) Float Pool. This is an exciting opportunity for RNs to contribute to patient care across multiple units while expanding their clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in IMC, PCU, and MS units.
• Float between IMC and medical units, occasionally assisting with medicine/IMC level boarders in the Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as needed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing dysrhythmias effectively.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure adherence to all procedures and protocols while providing care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in IMC, PCU, or similar settings.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is required.
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Proficient in telemetry and dysrhythmia management.

Work Schedule

The position requires working three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is necessary to meet the needs of the facility.

Unit Information

• IMC: 15 bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Med Surgical: 44 bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Telemetry: 34 bed unit.

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
• Scrubs are not provided; Caribbean Blue is the designated color.
• Clinician will report to the staffing office for float assignments.
