Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma care and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize nursing knowledge and clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in emergency situations.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care and manage high patient volumes efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in triage and manage the flow of patients within the department.

Qualifications:

• Current state nursing license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification by the American Heart Association.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification is preferred.
• NIH Stroke certification.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department or related field is required.
• Proven experience in a Level I trauma center is essential.
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting is preferred.

Additional Information:

• This position requires the ability to work three weekends (Friday to Sunday) every four-week schedule.
• Candidates must be prepared to handle high patient ratios, ranging from 1:5 to potentially 8 patients, depending on daily circumstances.
• Floating to pediatric units may be required.
• Modules are not billable; please allow for approximately 5 hours of orientation.
