Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist is responsible for organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy aimed at addressing impairments and functional limitations to enhance the patient’s quality of life following injury or disease. The assessment and treatment will take into account the patient’s gender, age, cultural differences, and educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to evaluate patient needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapy exercises and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

• Completion of a physical therapy educational program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in Montana and BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding towards patients.
• Ability to make sound clinical judgments.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Additional Information

This position requires travel within the region, with duties including outpatient therapy and inpatient float responsibilities, as well as weekend coverage once a month. Holiday coverage is also required.

Note: In-state travelers will not be accepted unless they exceed a 250-mile radius from the applicable area.
