Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Joint

We are seeking dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Orthopedic and Joint care to join our team. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Shift: 3×12 or 4×12 Days (0700 – 1930)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Age Range: Adults – Geriatrics

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Orthopedic Joint Replacement Center.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting care and progress accurately.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience required; first-time travelers welcomed with strong med/surg and ortho/joint experience.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS, CPI, and NIH certifications preferred
• Availability: Must be able to work weekends (every other weekend required) and holidays as scheduled.
• Floating: Required within the specialty and to other units as needed.
