Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position focuses on providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, specifically adults to geriatrics.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Proficient in the management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with central line care and management.
• Ability to administer IV vasopressors.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients.
• Familiarity with triage processes.

Work Environment:

• Unit systems used include Pyxis and Epic.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• Ratio and census specifics not detailed.

Scheduling Expectations:

• Maximum Request Time Off (RTO): 7 days.
• Every other weekend commitment unless specified otherwise.
• No call requirements.

Holiday Requirements:

If assigned during a major holiday, the traveler is expected to work the holiday as follows:

• One major holiday: work it.
• Two major holidays: work both.
• Three major holidays: work two.

Major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance Information:

Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, the start may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Additional Information:

• Locals are accepted at the same rate.
• Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by contract length.
