Imaging Support IR Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Imaging Support IR Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in vascular interventional radiology and a desire to engage in the entire case workflow. This role involves supporting the procedural team in a hybrid operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Pull inventory and order cases in EPIC prior to procedures.
• Operate the imaging table and controls during interventional cases.
• Perform 3D spins and utilize fusion technology effectively.
• Actively engage in the room throughout the procedure, including filming and post-processing images.
• Document and track inventory used during procedures using HI-IQ.
• Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, the OR team, and other procedural team members.
• Utilize a C-arm to assist with simple surgical cases alongside X-ray staff during downtime, including procedures such as Impellas and cystoscopy.

Work Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule with options of 5×8-hour shifts or 4×10-hour shifts. Typical hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role includes rotating call approximately every fourth week.

Qualifications

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in vascular/interventional radiology procedures.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in the OR.
• VA license required; candidates may apply with a pending license if eligible for a temporary license from another state.

Additional Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable actively participating in all aspects of the case workflow. Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures is highly desirable. A 50-mile radius rule applies for candidates applying for this position.
