Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients based on medical urgency.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages in a stand-alone ER.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and provide excellent patient care.
• Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records.
• Participate in emergency response initiatives as needed.

Schedule

This position requires 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, working from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend availability is required. Opportunities for block scheduling may be considered upon request, contingent on managerial approval and unit needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of general emergency nursing experience (adult and pediatric).
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Preferred Certifications: NRP, TNCC.
• Experience with CVA patients and familiarity with Epic electronic medical records.

Floating Requirements

Clinicians may be required to float to surrounding facilities as needed within their scope of practice.

Additional Information

All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which occurs from June through November. Please consider this when confirming assignments during peak hurricane activity months.

Local candidates are welcome to apply, and all requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission for approval based on facility needs. The facility is allowed to call off one shift every two weeks.
