Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a strong background in IR procedures. This role requires the ability to work independently in procedure rooms and handle on-call responsibilities for trauma cases. The position will primarily involve weekend and day shift coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, including angio procedures such as TIPS and angioplasty.
• Act as both scrub and circulator during procedures.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of thrombectomy devices for pulmonary embolism and stroke management.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety and high standards of care.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the IR suite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Current CT ARRT and IR ARRT certifications are required.
• Vocational or Technical training in Radiologic Technology.
• Valid Massachusetts Radiology License and RT ART registration.
• Ability to work weekends and take on-call shifts as necessary.
• Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment is preferred.

Orientation and Training

Orientation sessions are held weekly, every Monday, except on holidays.
