Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with other healthcare team members to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. This role involves carrying out functions according to hospital policies, the hospital mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. The RN will direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Paragon EMR experience is preferred.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Certification Requirements:

• Current BLS certification is required.

State License Requirements:

• Active Michigan state license is required at the time of submission.

Attendance Policy:

A strict attendance policy is in place to advocate for the patient population, where any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Absences due to communicable diseases or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed favorably.
