Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Oncology

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg/Oncology team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in surgical nursing and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Position Information:

• Role: Registered Nurse
• Specialty: Med-Surg/Oncology
• Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 (3×12 hours)
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: BCLS or BLS
• Years of Experience: 2+ years in a related field
• Float Requirements: All inpatient areas

Unit Information:

• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment: Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
• EHR: Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR (EPIC as of 5/1/26)

Patient Population:

This position primarily serves adult patients, with a focus on a variety of diagnoses including cancer, diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, and general surgery.

Qualifications:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Proficiency in using Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, and Baxter IV Pumps; experience in oncology nursing; adept in caring for patients with multiple comorbidities.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Strong background in Med-Surg nursing, familiarity with oncology-related care.
• Personality Fit: We prioritize relationship-based care, looking for individuals who are flexible in their scheduling and committed to delivering excellent patient care.
