Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team. This position requires a strong nursing background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support to individuals in the Med/Surg unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and post-treatment care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
• Current nursing license in Mississippi or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Preferred: 5+ years of Med/Surg experience and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Work Schedule

Shifts include four 12-hour shifts one week (48 hours), followed by three 12-hour shifts the next week (36 hours). The typical schedule involves:

• 4×12 schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
• 3×12 schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

You will work every other weekend and may be required to work on holidays if they coincide with your scheduled shifts.
