Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services. This role encompasses patient coverage in various care settings, including inpatient hospitalization, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct swallowing bed evaluations and administer treatment plans for individuals with speech and language disorders.
• Perform video fluoroscopic swallow studies, preferred but not required.
• Ensure flexible patient coverage to adapt to changing patient loads.
• Participate in weekend rotation options as assigned, based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
• New York State license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience in inpatient acute care settings is preferred.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year is mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position typically involves 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
