Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Telemetry

Position Information:

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 36 (every other weekend)
• On-call Requirements: None
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 1-2 years
• Float Requirements: Yes, must be willing to float to another IMC or med/surg unit as necessary

Education & Certifications Required:

• Required Certifications: BLS
• Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 43
• Patient Ratios:
  • Day Shift Med/Surg: 1:4-5
  • Night Shift Med/Surg: 1:5-6
  • Day and Night IMC: 3:1
• Equipment: Includes Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, IV pumps, specialty beds, and more
• EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Ventilator experience and proficiency with tracheostomies, as well as the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in similar medical settings.
• Type of Patients on Unit: Patients with respiratory issues, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, and other acute/chronic medical conditions.
• Personality Fit: A strong sense of teamwork, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a focus on patient-centered care.

Additional Information:

Holidays will be assigned as needed, with efforts made to not schedule staff for all winter holidays.
