Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment, specifically in stepdown units and potentially floating to various departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Shifts

• Rotating Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Rotating Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent RN experience in a stepdown specialty is required.
• Must possess a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Must be available to work on holidays as needed, with at least every other holiday required.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required.

Additional Information
