Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse provides quality patient care for diverse patient populations, including the potential to float to various units. This role involves critical care responsibilities and requires adaptability to meet the operational needs of the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in medical/surgical telemetry settings.
• Monitor and interpret patient data and ECG rhythms.
• Float between assigned units as needed to support patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Shift Requirements

• Rotating shifts: 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Shifts may vary based on operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
• Current Ohio Nursing License or a Compact State License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
