Central Sterile Technician

Job Description

Full-time position with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts. Requires one weekend a month of on-call availability. The Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare process by performing various functions related to the pickup, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of both reprocessed and disposable items and equipment. This position operates under established organizational and departmental policies and procedures and reports to the Supervisor of Central Sterile Processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform various functions involved in the pickup, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of reprocessed and disposable items.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain equipment and inventory for effective operation.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
• CSP Certification is required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
