Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a contract position. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Shift Information

• Night shifts available: 4×12 hours

Contract Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Possibility of extension based on performance and staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to medical surgical patients
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during their hospital stay
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Provide education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Surgical RN
• Current RN license and certifications required: BCLS, NIH, ACLS
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

Patient Ratios

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-7

Additional Information

• Scrubs are not provided; candidates are expected to supply their own
• Blocked schedule requests cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated as much as possible
