Physical Therapist – Acute/Inpatient

Shift Information

Variable shifts are available, including:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday to Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Minimum Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.

Certifications and Requirements

• Current certifications: BLS/BCLS
• Active State of Hawaii license is required by the start of the assignment for candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii.

Position Overview

This position is intended for a candidate with primary experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation, along with secondary experience in Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) or Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for the evaluation and re-evaluation of assigned patients, as well as planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients.
• Develop and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs based on physician prescriptions.
• Provide consulting physical therapist services as needed.
• Be available for shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on operational needs.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 6 months of work experience in at least one of the following settings: Acute Care, Rehabilitation Hospital, or Skilled Nursing Facility, working with adults.

Equipment Utilization

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Meditech, is preferred.
