Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants (PTAs) are responsible for treating patients through various therapeutic interventions, including exercise, massage, gait, and balance training. The role involves recording patients’ progress and reporting treatment results to the supervising physical therapist.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by physical therapists using therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans.
• Perform gait and balance training to improve patient mobility.
• Document and track patient progress during treatment sessions.
• Communicate effectively with the physical therapy team regarding patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current Texas or compact state license.

Schedule

This position includes 8-hour day shifts with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.
