Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide support under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will assist patients in developing and restoring functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with patient and family education to promote understanding and engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Communicate patient status and any relevant updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Possession of an active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals.
