Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This position requires the ability to work rotating night and evening shifts in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Shifts: 3×12 or 4×12 hours accepted; primarily night shift with possible evening shifts
• Patient Age Range: All age ranges, from infant to geriatric
• Patient Ratio: 1:4, with potential for 1:5 in lower acuity scenarios
• Patient Diagnoses: Diverse and complex diagnoses across all systems

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a dynamic emergency department environment.
• Manage a diverse patient population with varying medical needs and conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications required; CPI to be completed during onboarding.
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred.
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

• Availability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
• Flexibility to float within the specialty and to sister emergency department facilities as needed.
