CT Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of CT scans, including those of all body parts, pediatrics, and cardiac studies, while ensuring exceptional patient care throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of experience in CT imaging
• Prior travel experience is preferred, but not required
• Experience with Siemens and Cannon imaging systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on a variety of anatomical regions, including pediatric and cardiac imaging
• Conduct procedures such as biopsies, drains, and ablations
• Start IVs as required for imaging procedures
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Collaborate with the radiologist and radiology team to ensure high-quality imaging
• Document all procedures and findings accurately using EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, McKesson)

Work Schedule

Shifts are assigned with no blocking requests, operating on a combination of 10 and 12 hour shifts. Current needs include:

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Weekend requirements are set per the schedule, with holiday availability needed as required.

Department Information

• Average of 30-40 scans/studies performed per 10-hour shift
• Department led by a supervisor and a lead technologist during daytime weekday hours
• Support is provided by a CNA for departmental assistance
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) in the department
• Radiologist available in-house

Dress Code

Blue scrubs are provided for all staff members.

Additional Information

Experience with electronic medical record systems and PACS is preferred, but not required. Candidates should possess strong patient care skills and procedural experience, particularly with Siemens equipment.
