Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. This position requires the ability to interpret and manage ECG strips, as the unit does not employ telemetry technicians. Candidates must be prepared to undergo testing during the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in a medical-surgical environment.
• Monitor and interpret ECG strips without assistance from telemetry technicians.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies following established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Shift Details

This position requires 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of recent acute medical-surgical experience with telemetry nursing.
• Licensure/Registration: Current RN licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Skills/Certifications: Current CPR and ACLS certifications are required.
• Epic experience is mandatory.

Testing Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete a Dysrhythmia test (20 questions) and a Medication test (20 questions) via a secure Zoom meeting. A passing score of 85% is required for both tests. Candidates will only have one attempt to pass each test, and remediation or retesting will not be available. Preparation using the provided study guide is highly recommended.
