Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) to work 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment to work every other weekend. Weekend shifts will be structured as follows: for days, Saturday and Sunday, and for nights, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Nurses will occasionally float to different units, generally in 4-hour blocks, which may include other departments such as Emergency Department (ED) holds, inpatient holds, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and other boarding units.

Key Responsibilities

• Titrate pressors effectively as part of patient care.
• Provide care in a Level 1 trauma setting, with a strong preference for experience in this area.
• Engage in floating to different units and managing diverse patient needs, with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:5.
• Participate in testing and complete required assessments upon commencement of the role.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are preferred.
• Epic electronic health record experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory, or a minimum of 6 months separation from previous roles in similar settings will be necessary.

Additional Information

This role offers weekly start dates on Mondays and will require ongoing assessments through Relias. Candidates must be adaptable, as floating and different patient care responsibilities will be expected.
