Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients during the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, ensuring a positive experience for both mothers and newborns.

Shift Information

• Night Shift: 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekends Required: Every Other Weekend

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license required (Kansas or compact).
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Floating: Expected to float to Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Room departments occasionally (2-3 times during a 13-week contract).

Unit Information

• 10-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• 4-bed GYN unit
• 14 Well-baby beds
• 3 Special Care Nursery beds
• Approximately 900 deliveries annually with a dedicated team of 2 OB/GYN Doctors and 3 Pediatricians

Additional Notes

Travelers are welcome, and first-time travelers will be considered. Candidates should be prepared for occasional floating as part of their responsibilities. We value flexibility and cooperation in our nursing staff to provide the best care possible.
