Pediatric Sonographer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assisting with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement, along with a comprehensive understanding of congenital and non-congenital heart disease.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography.
• Knowledgeable in ECMO procedures.
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of heart disease.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred.
• Fetal echocardiography experience encouraged.
• Adult echocardiography experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies for fetal congenital conditions (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography.
• Support coverage in NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU settings.
• Recognize and triage emergent situations effectively.
• Provide written communication of findings to cardiologists.
• Maintain and log utilization of echocardiography equipment.
• Manage billing processes for procedures.

Equipment and Technology

• Familiarity with EMR and PACS systems, specifically Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse.
• Utilization of Phillips echocardiography scanners.

Orientation and Attire

• Orientation period: 1-2 weeks.
• Required attire: Scrubs in Caribbean Blue.

Shift Expectations

Standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
