Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and compassion necessary to provide exceptional patient care in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit, ensuring accuracy in monitoring vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document patient progress in compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and health management strategies.
• Be prepared to float to different units as needed, including emergency care, to support patient care equality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry specialty.
• Valid nursing license from Ohio or compact state is required.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
• Must be willing to work every other holiday.

Shift Information

Available shifts include rotating day and night schedules:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
