Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced team. This position involves delivering high-quality care to patients across all age ranges in a busy emergency department, where you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide critical care in a high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide acute nursing care to patients presenting with various medical emergencies.
• Assess patient conditions and determine priority for treatment based on severity.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license valid in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting preferred, but candidates with a strong skillset and less experience will be considered.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Shift Information:

This position requires a commitment to night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), with rotations available for 3×12 or 4×12 hour shifts. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as scheduled.

Unit Information:

The Emergency Room averages a daily census of 130 patients and features 47 beds, with a nursing ratio of 1:4.
