Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. This role involves providing essential care to patients, including those on ventilators, within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Details:

• Coverage Duration: 18 weeks; 13-week commitments also accepted.
• Rotation Shifts:
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Floating Requirements: Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on telemetry and medical/surgical units.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ECG rhythm.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Work every other holiday as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applied for.
• Valid RN license from Ohio or a compact state.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (provided by AHA or American Red Cross).
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
