Unit Description

This assignment will take place within a busy Day Surgery Unit, focusing on outpatient surgery procedures. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and assist in creating individualized care plans.
• Support patients in the recovery process, ensuring safe and effective post-operative care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver optimal care.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and BLS certification are required.
• Experience in an ambulatory setting is essential.
• Operating Room Nurses must have specific experience in orthopedics and sports medicine.
