Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role within a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality imaging services in support of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
• Assist in the performance of various imaging procedures.
• Process and transmit imaging studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Utilize both mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care throughout imaging processes.

Qualifications

• Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, ARRT, or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
• Minimum of one year of acute clinical radiology experience.
• At least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
• Graduate of a program accredited by the JRCNMT or CAMRT.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
• CT/Fusion Certification is needed.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
