Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Medicine, including experience with Pediatric patients.

Job Description

The Emergency Department provides high-quality care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The unit is equipped with 64 beds, including acute care, super track, trauma, and psychiatric beds. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 64 beds
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Shift Information

Shifts are scheduled from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to other units may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with some Pediatric experience.
• Current valid licenses in the state of New York and all RN licenses.
• Active certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Demonstrated experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Completed skills checklist related to Emergency Department nursing.
• Compliance with all necessary health and safety protocols.
