Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will work in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility guidelines, to assist patients in developing and restoring their functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with patient and family education to promote understanding of therapy processes and goals.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient status.
• Follow all safety protocols, infection control measures, and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license (or ability to obtain one).
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.
