Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves a commitment to providing quality care and support to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively assist with patient procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Provide pre and post-procedure care for patients in the designated bays.
• Participate in STEMI coverage on weekends as scheduled.
• Be available for on-call duties as needed for post-PCI patients.

Shift Information

The position requires working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Staffing and Team Structure

The Cath Lab is staffed with a team of three full-time nurses, supported by two registered nurses in the pre/post-procedure area. There is one Cath Lab procedure room available.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting is required.
• Candidates must possess a current SC nursing license or a Compact license.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory.
• A radiation badge is required; it must be supplied by the agency as the facility does not provide one for travelers.

Additional Information

• The facility accepts travelers for this position, with local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application, and approvals will be granted based on facility needs.
• While guaranteed hours are in place, the facility reserves the right to cancel one shift every two weeks.

Facility Overview

This is an acute care hospital comprising 286 staffed beds, where a focus on compassionate patient care is a priority. Scrubs will be provided, and Epic is the preferred charting system.
