Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced unit specializing in Orthopedics, Neuro spine, Med-surg, and Post-surgical care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in Ortho, and be proficient in IV starts and telemetry.

Contract Details

• Contracts available for 20+ weeks, with a hard stop date of February 27, 2027.
• Shifts are 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).
• Flexible scheduling options available: 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Weekend commitment: Every other weekend is required; make-up time is necessary if a call-off occurs on a weekend.

Patient Population

The average daily census is approximately 37 patients, with a capacity of 39 beds. Nurses will care for patients with a range of conditions, including:

• Orthopedic issues
• Neuro spine conditions
• Post-surgical needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with emphasis on Orthopedic nursing.
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry.
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH.
• Must have Epic experience; first-time travelers are welcome.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification.
• Charge nurse experience.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma center.

Unit Information

This is a dynamic, fast-paced unit that requires nurses to effectively manage pain for orthopedic and spine patients. Nurses may be required to float to other medical-surgical units based on staffing needs.

Additional Information

• No holiday RTO will be approved.
• A maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed for AYA auto offers.
• Successful completion of EKG testing is required prior to starting in this specialty.
