Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and must be comfortable providing conscious sedation during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Serve as part of the late teams, with designated roles for completing cases and ensuring patient transitions to the next level of care.
- Provide assistance during procedures including, but not limited to, ablations, pacemaker insertions, and lead extractions.
- Perform accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and preparation of access sites.
- Maintain sterile techniques while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
- Involve in arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies as needed.
- Participate actively in a collaborative environment, contributing knowledge and skills for effective patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Electrophysiology Lab.
- Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures including, but not limited to:
- Electrophysiology Evaluation
- Cardiac Ablation
- Permanent Pacemaker Insertion (PPI)
- Watchman and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
- Temporary Pacemaker and Laser Assisted Procedures
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
- Ability to work with specialized equipment including PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, and more.
- Competence in unit systems such as Pyxis, Cupid (EPIC), and Cardio Lab.
Schedule
This position requires a 4×10 hour shift from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Each team member is expected to contribute as needed, including flexibility for assigned late shifts.
Additional Details
Contract staff may also be included in disaster response teams and will be expected to report to work during catastrophic events or mass casualties. All staff members will undergo a 30-hour orientation and are required to wear provided scrubs during their shifts.
