Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool as an IMCU Nurse. This position is essential for providing high-quality patient care in the Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU) and will require flexibility to float to MedSurg units based on patient volume.

Schedule

• 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Up to 2 weekends per month
• Floating to MedSurg required based on patient census
• Holiday shifts required
• Block scheduling may be considered upon request (not guaranteed)

Clinical Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Utilizing EPIC EMR for electronic documentation
• Providing telemetry care and monitoring for patients
• Managing a patient ratio of 5:1, with a goal of 4:1
• Caring for an average patient census of 20–24 in a 24-bed unit
• Occasionally caring for pediatric patients and ensuring comfort in providing this care, as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of IMCU/telemetry experience
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license in NC or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required

Additional Information

• Approved scrub colors are navy blue or white only
• Candidates residing within 40 miles of the facility are not eligible
