Operating Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, specifically in the main operating room for various specialties including General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 1 year; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Skills: Circulate and scrub experience is required

Work Environment

The position is based in the main operating room, which includes:

• 16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35 cases
• Unit systems include Epic and Pyxis, along with 2 Da Vinci XI robots
• Scrub color is provided by the facility

Schedule and Call Requirements

• Shift: Day shift, 4×10 hour schedule (06:30 – 17:00)
• Weekends: 2–3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on-call
• Call Requirements: 7-8 call shifts in an 8-week schedule, including weekend and weekday night shifts
• Holidays: Required to work during major holidays based on the assignment period

Compliance and Screening

Full compliance with pre-employment requirements is essential for timely onboarding. Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to ensure a good fit for the position. If clinical qualifications are met, final approval will be sought from management.

Additional Information

• RTO (Request Time Off): Maximum of 7 days, with specific blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Floating may occur within the facility/scope of practice as needed
