NICU Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled NICU Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional respiratory care to neonates in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in delivering therapeutic interventions, managing respiratory support, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Perform ongoing assessments of neonatal patients to monitor and evaluate respiratory status.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in conjunction with medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Educate families about respiratory health and the use of equipment as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Respiratory Therapist with specialty training in Neonatal Care.
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience working in a NICU setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.

- In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and neonatal respiratory pathophysiology.
- Ability to perform advanced therapeutic procedures and operate specialized equipment.
