Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with specialized experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position is designed for professionals who are committed to providing exceptional care to neonatal patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients in the NICU setting.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans for respiratory conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Utilize and maintain respiratory equipment effectively.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures during patient care.
Schedule
This position includes a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 19:00 to 07:00. Block scheduling is available.
Weekend Requirements
Every other weekend is required for this role.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of one year of experience is required. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply.
Holiday Requirements
Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period, with specific expectations based on the number of holidays present:
- If one major holiday occurs, the traveler is expected to work it.
- If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both.
- If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
Compliance Requirements
Full compliance with all necessary qualifications and documentation is required to start on time. Delays due to non-compliance may result in a two-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedules.
Orientation
The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the length of the contract (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
Floating Requirements
Floating within the facility is required as needed, within the scope of practice.
Locals Accepted
Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate as traveling professionals.
