Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The position involves working 3×12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. Weekend availability is required every other weekend. This role requires floating within scope to meet facility needs.

Unit Details

• Newly established unit with 18 beds, focusing on building a strong foundation for patient care.
• Features bedside monitoring capabilities for tele, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• Leadership is available during off-shift hours and can be contacted by phone.
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in MS/Telemetry or Telemetry settings.
• Current SC license or Compact license is required prior to start.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in telemetry, including interpretation of dysrhythmias, is necessary.
• Community hospital experience is preferred, but new travelers are encouraged to apply.

Miscellaneous Information

• Approval for block scheduling can be requested prior to assignment, but it is not guaranteed.
• Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and will be evaluated based on facility needs.
• The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks.

• No parking costs are associated with the facility.
