Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

This role is for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) on a newly established unit focusing on patient care and telemetry monitoring. The position involves a commitment to high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3×12 Days (06:45 AM – 07:15 PM)
• Ratios: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Floating Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs

Unit Details

• New unit built from the ground up with 18 beds.
• Equipped with bedside monitors for telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• Charge responsibilities are shared between stepdown and the 3 West unit.
• 24/7 coverage by a house supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Two years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry.
• Current SC license or Compact license required before starting.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in community hospital settings.

Additional Information

• Open to accommodating block schedules upon prior approval, though not guaranteed.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included upon submission.
• The facility may cancel one shift every two weeks.
