Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team. This position requires flexibility to float to eight different medical/surgical telemetry units. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cardiac monitoring and the ability to read telemetry strips.

Position Details

• Unit Name: Float Pool RN
• Schedule: Nights & Every Other Weekend – 36 hours per week
• Rotation Requirements: 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days & Evenings up to 5:1, Nights up to 6:1

Unit Description

This Float Pool position involves providing care across multiple medical/surgical telemetry areas. Candidates will be expected to work in various units, including Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, Emergency Department, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow. The role requires managing a diverse patient population, including those in acute mental health units and transfer-ready non-vented ICU patients.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience, including 2 years of travel nursing experience.
• Essential Skill Sets: Proficient in telemetry monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours, managing cardiac drips, and using TR Band.
• Certifications Required: Active RN License in Massachusetts, AHA BLS, ACLS.
