Job Description

This position involves the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered, either directly or through direction of other nursing staff. The role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to effectively assess patient data and provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of the patients assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience.
• Must be willing to obtain Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• COVID vaccination required; declinations will not be accepted and must be documented in state records.
• Willingness to work as per the facility’s scheduling requirements.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Locals are accepted; there is no radius rule.

Certification Requirements

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS – AHA)

State License Requirements

Active Maryland RN license required at the time of submission.
